Billyboos was started in 2015 by chef couple Lianne holt and Tao Fritz. Lianne transitioned her Petite Bouchee cake company, which she had started back in 2012, into Billyboo’s. Tao, with a passion for coffee, left the ship repair industry to join forces with Lianne to launch Billyboo's.
Billyboo's has been an Observatory-based business from day 1. After closing the business for the year during 2018, Tao and Lianne have setup a new cake studio, on 4 Tasman Street, Obs.
The new space is a creative space for the team to grow organically and has all the same elements of the old Billyboo's, without the retail environment. They still have excellent coffee, awesome cake and the music is always flowing, with the intention to have a bit more on offer for those who want to come and hang out with the team.
